Good Evening! Or morning or afternoon or night or whatever time it is where you're reading this...

anyways. 

I'd first like to thank you all for the lovely comments on my last post about high school etc. It was really nice to read them <3

Now. 

My family went to Sante Fe this weekend, because it's only about 3.5 hours away and my mom wanted a mini vacation. 

I discovered it is #13 on some list of most hipster cities in the US, so that made me excited haha. 

It was actually really nice, I have been there a few times before but this time was able to go thrifting and do some stuff I hadn't done before.

Santa Fe has a really "Southwestern" sorta feel to it, because all of the buildings are in that sort of style, and there are lots of southwestern sort of shops for the tourists. It's not really my thing but the buildings are pretty...

This song seems appropriate (noooobody would have thought, am I right?!), even though Santa Fe is thousands of miles away from the ocean (sadly...).

I hardly took annyy pictures while I was there for some reason....

I'm going to get some film developed reallllyyyy soon, so my next post will hopefully be some scans!

Speaking of film, I am taking a film photography class this semester, which is really fun so far! All that we've really done is make pinhole cameras and then attempted to take some pictures with them. My first try worked, but then today I took like 5 different pictures and none of them did! It's really hard to get the exposure right...

Next week we will start to take and develop photos with actual film (instead of photo paper) and actual cameras, so hopefully that's more successful!

high school, adolescence & way too many decisions

Lately I've been thinking a lot about growing up.

Even though I'm only half way through freshman year and all, it seems as if I already need to start thinking about life and college and jobs and all that boring grown up stuff. And the sad thing is, I probably should be! 

I just hate it. 

I can barely decide what kind of cereal to buy, okay?

And recently, I feel like I'm not getting enough out my youth really, like not livin' it up enough, or having the "teenage experience". 

Not that I really want to go out partying every weekend and get super wasted like everybody else in high schools everywhere or anything. 

But at the same time, staying up till morning studying and watching TV all alone on Friday nights isn't all that great either. (actually, I really enjoy it, and laughing with yourself at New Girl is pretty fun too)(I'm not being sarcastic)(or am I?)

Just listen to this song and cry about your social life with me: 

(not that I'm just assuming all of us blogging about flower crowns and James Franco and typewriters wouldn't have a booming social life or anything)

partying all night?

sneaking out?

drinking in the small town firelight?

skipping school?

It even says freshman.

But instead I decide to care about my grades and eat lunch in the algebra room with my 3 friends,

and then go make snow angles instead of "drinking vodka out of hawaiian punch bottles at like, 11 A.M." (legitimate quote from some idiot in my biology class)(yea, really, stupid I know)

But I feel like maybe I should go to parties and stuff (not that I'm invited or anything, hahaha.), because what if then in like 15 years I'm all like:

So I don't know what to do. 

And Lana and Marina aren't helping.

I actually really like green grass. If anything though, maybe pink or purple or something neon so it's totally unnatural-like.

To be successful, not necessarily money-wise but just happy, in love, safe, and rich enough to travel a lot.

What is your favourite ice cream flavour?

hmmmm well. My family is sort of obsessed with icecream so we eat ALOT of it. For a normal flavor, I really like cookie dough and mango. My favorite ben and jerry's flavor is phish food or ny super fudge. My favorite more unconventional flavors are coconut curry, cherry lavender, salted caramel and tahini. 

If you could go back in time, when and where would you go and why?

I would loooooveeee to be in NYC in the 20s, solely for the Great Gatsby-esque parties and glam. Or ancient greece. Or LA in the 80s. or, or or....

If you could be on the cover of any magazine, which one would you choose?

Of course, the first thing that came to mind was vogue. But that's only if I become super famous. Actually, to be on the cover of most magazines means your famous. Anywayyyysss maybe ID because they feature really smart people that have done really interesting things, mainly fashion-associated. 

Favourite cheesy, cringey or just plain embarrassing film or band/artist that you are sometimes embarrassed to admit that you really like?

I haven't quite yet let go of my Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus obsession from 5th grade. Yup. 

How are you feeling right now?

Well. I have barely gotten out of bed today! I cried for like an hour earlier for various reasons. I have my period and it has been blizzarding and I realllyyy didn't want to go to school so anyways that why I'm home. 

If you could have one designer handbag, which brand would you choose and why?

Ummmm I've never really thought about this and therefore don't know very many designer handbag brands! So probably one of the classy black chanel ones with the chain because they're classy and I'm classy and I like classy and enough with this bye.

What are you passionate about?

I honestly am still trying to figure it out.

What do you do to cheer yourself up if you are sad?

listen to happy music, lay in bed, watch new girl and the mindy project and 2 broke girls, eat lots of sweets

Just some splendid little things

Oh Paul, how great can you get? You have no idea how much I appreciate that I have the same camera. no. idea.

 So I know you all know Kara Hayward (Suzy Bisshop anyone?) and you have probably already seen these, especially if you have a Lula subscription, in which case I hate you and you should go die in a hole. 

I'm not even going to begin on how gorgeous she is and how unfair it is that I'm not here. She's only 14 Why am I not her?

the cover of the current W magazine is sorta just a little amazing

digital polaroid anyone? I know, I know- the old ones are cooler, but this is much cheaper for ink (not film-its like a mini printer inside the camera!) so it's on the top of my wish list. The only concern I might have is that the effect isn't as cool but who knows. 

just about the best thing ever. Was talking to my parents about college yesterday and basically started crying.

what am I talking about? fuck college, I'm moving to Paris and starting a poem shop.

printing it out and bringing it to school, they won't even know what hit them.

HAHAHAHA idk if any of you even watch Sherlock but I'm freaking out because the next season probably isn't coming out till early next year because of the stupid HOBBIT that they are both in (which I just saw like an hour ago btw) and I honestly am not sure if I can wait that long. Life is so hard. #firstworldproblems
